Let's get healthy!

It is not a secret that I dislike eating veggies. I'm not healthy eater at all! I love junk foods, I have a love-hate relationship with Potato Corner! Before, I do not care about calories, but now, I am not getting any younger so it is about time to eat healthy. (I'm trying!)

My curiosity started when I passed by this little resto near Sto. Domingo street. It is called "Daily Veggies" with cute tomato and carrot in its logo. It's kinda catchy for me, that I feel like a kid that is being asked by her parents to eat veggies because it is good for me!

Finally we had the time to pay this resto a visit! After our meeting, we decided to stop and feed our hungry tummies with something healthy. Okay I have a confession to make. I am wishing that I can order something with more meat than veggies, because like what I have said, I hate veggies. =P So we have ordered the following dishes:

Sizzling burger steak for me. I am a huge fan of Salisbury steak, I always order it every time we eat at sizzling restos, and I think they made a good job in making burger patties! It's so delish!!
To match my healthy meal is a glass of fresh guyabano shake. I think it is the healthiest food in my list, I love guyabanos! And this is just pure guyabano, no milk, no sugar, no ice!! It's the real thing!

Mama and John ordered for Lomisua. Whatever it is called, it is a combination of Lomi, and Misua. (Obviously.) haha. And because they are chinese (maiconnect lang) they also ordered for some dumplings. I was able to try the dumplings, again, thumbs up!

John has always been friendly to store staff and all. Because of his unending curiosity and kakulitan, he asked a lot of questions to the resto's staff only to realize that the owner is listening! We told them we are really excited to eat there, and maybe, natuwa sya samin and they got us to try one of their specialties, mushroom nuggets! Promise, super duper sarap! Tastes like meat! Mama bought a pack, dahil sa sobrang sarap. hahaha!

The best thing about all of it is, we just paid 480 bucks for everything! Affordable and healthy meals are on its way! I am sure we are coming back to try other dishes in their menu.

By the way, they also sell oatmeals, chips and other healthy food in their resto.

Thank you daily veggie for an affordable and a delicious way to start my healthy eating habit! :)

You can visit Daily Veggie here: 114 Sto. Domingo Avenue, Quezon City.

Tsikot.com's family :)

Hello everyone!

After almost a month of me MIA, I am back! Thanks to those who still visit my blog, I know I am rarely update my online diary, still, you still pay my page a visit. Medyo hilong talilong lang ako lately, things are happening faster than I knew, and after a month, I'm going to be Missus Catalan. Yeyssss, I'm getting married next year, and before that, I've been switching jobs, learning things and realizing a lot.

First, I have made a very hard decision that I know will change my life forever. Ganun pala yun, there will come a time in your life that you will realize that you can't do it anymore. (chos, parang soap-opera lang, break up ang peg) So, I quit my job. I do not know, parang napagod lang ako waking up every morning doing the same thing over and over again. Quarter-life crisis ba? haha. It is really hard, and I thought about it several times, but then I made up my mind. I know, I have been working since the day after my college graduation, and I never felt unemployed since then. And now I took the risk of not getting a fixed salary every 15th and 30th of the month. Plus I need to save for our upcoming wedding, but still, I quit. I tried to apply for other jobs, but every time I am almost there, I felt like I will be better off without an 8-5 job.

And then again, call it a blessing or a miracle, one of my former clients asked me if I can be his partner. since his site started as a hobby, and no less than the number one Automotive site in the country! Yes, I am now a part of the famous Tsikot.com!
I feel proud and blessed at the same time, now that I am a part of this website. The big irony here is, I don't even know a single thing about cars! (Well if driving an automatic car counts, then I know one.) Basta sasakay nalang ako sa kotse ko and I'm good to go. Di ko pa nga namamaster ang parallel at reverse parking! haha! Still! (Promise I'm trying my best haha, wag sanang magtampo si kitty car.)

Now it is part of my job to cover car shows, talk to car brands, car dealers, and everything that concerns automotive. I have to deal with different types of car owners, as it is also a part of my job to maintain the forum of the site.

Oops before I forget, one of the best things in this job is that I am working with my husband-to-be! He is the one who is really into cars, and he's can deal with forum people better than I am. Okay, I admit, sometimes I cannot handle people who keeps on bragging how cool their cars can get. To me they are all the same, except that one sounds louder than the other. We kinda divided our work, he deals with forum people and I deal with clients' presentations. Fair enough, huh?

You see, I am surrounded by men who are into cars. Is it the same passion that I have with Hello Kitty? Enlighten me please. My brother sells car accessories, joining car races and all. My father bought an old car and restored it. Now he is participating in car shows and infer, he gets awards. And me? I just want my car to be pink and full of Hello Kitty stuff. Something like this.

So far kasi, eto palang na-achieve ko eh. haha. Low budget and my car is just a taxi-ish type, pero ang laki na ng natulong samin non! :) I honestly do not have plans of getting another car and bragging that I have one of the best cars since I am in Tsikot, basta i-Hello Kitty ko sya, happy na ako! :)

Anyway, I will be posting some of the personal photos that I have soon. (oh btw, John is now the 'official' naks, lakas maka-totoo haha, photographer of tsikot.com, so he is covering the events. As for me, okay na ako sa pose pose and meeting meeting. :P

So there, busy ang peg ng lola nyo sa wedding preps and meetings, but I will really try my best to keep everyone posted with my non-sense ramblings about my everyday life. :)

Long weekend in Tagaytay

Long weekend sounds heaven to me. And I always do everything to maximize my long weekends. I do not know if I am a pilot, or a bus driver in my past life, that I am always itching to out. Can I be considered as a wanderlust? Oh yes, if I just have unlimited money in my pocket, I will buy the best smartphone in the market and travel around the world! (If and only if!)

But because of limited budget that we have right now, (as we are getting married next year) all I can do is to go to places that will not cost me a fortune. (OA, fortune agad??) I am dying to go back to Bangkok but I can't because I need to save for our wedding. So last Saturday, we went to Tagaytay with two of my "karen" (kaladkaren) friends Lester and Michael. With my driver/fiance and our ever strong red sports car charade, masketmon! (Buti nalang talaga di mo kami tinirik!)

See chronicles of our short, cold and happy weekend trip.

Early lunch in Jollibee. :)

Since it is a rainy afternoon, we decided to have.. Goto! All about Goto is the best! Love the tokwa't baboy! Nomnom!

Sky Ranch! This is our second time to ride the Sky Ranch. Wala lang naman, hahaha, just for the sake of doing it. :P

Dinner and Starbucks after. Planner time again! I thought the magenta is more of a fuchsia colored one, guess I was wrong. :( So I am saving up my stickers for the yellow one instead. Super lamig during that time! (Oh nakita namin hinahanap namin ano? Ang lamig talaga!)

Day 2.

Puzzle Museum for Lester and Michael. Been there as well. Para lang maexperience nila. Haha!

Prolly my favorite part of the entire trip. Our crab lunch. Ay naku sobrang sarap ng crabs na yan! Di ko pinalagpas, nagkamay talaga ako!! At pinaghimay ko silang lahat!

Then Lourdes and Pink sisters. Kawawa naman si John, sa sobrang pagod nakatulog.. with mouth opened! hahaha!

Last stop. Starbucks again. Syempre, stickers. Hahaha! Okay, nakakahiya yung last pose, jeje pose to cap up a short and super happy trip.

Next time Palawan naman kami. Promise! :D
